Vermont Dog Sled Day Adventure
A Dog Sled Day Adventure can be arranged at our Vermont Venture farm site or on another Northern Vermont trail system. Northern Vermont has some of the clearest skies, cleanest air and breath taking views. This is an adventure of a lifetime, surely one you won't soon forget! The tour starts with an introduction to the pack, learning how to harness up the huskies, learning some basic mushing commands, and plenty of time for questions and answers from the experienced musher. This will be a hands on experience. After we harness the dogs and a review some commands we will be ready to go. With your yelling the command HIKE, HIKE, HIKE, you will be off on your thrilling adventure with a pure breed AKC Siberian Husky Dog Sled team. All of Vermont Ventures trails have spectacular scenery: mountain views, ponds, forests, and meadows. Often time we see wildlife too. Remember to bring your camera! There will be plenty of opportunities to record your memorable experience of Vermont's beauty. Along the way you will be overcome by scenic overlooks that inspire and amaze. Upon our return, we will go inside to warm up by the wood stove, sipping on a warm drink while you play with your favorite husky friend from our pack. The average Dog Sled Tour is an hour and a half with 45 to 70 minutes of trail time. The variables are weight and trail conditions. Vermont Dog Sled Night Adventure Take an adventure like no other. The Dog Sled Night Adventure is a moonlit ride on a dog sled with an experienced musher. Running with headlight on, we maze our way through the trails gazing upon the starlit sky without light pollution. Whether you study astronomy or simply gaze happily up in amazement and wonder, this is a unique adventure of a lifetime. This tour is for adults only. The tour starts with an introduction to the AKC pure breed Siberian Husky pack, learning how to harness the huskies, learning some basic commands, and plenty of time for questions. This will be a hands on experience. After we harness the team and a review some commands, we will be ready to go. Upon our return, we will go inside to warm up by the wood stove, sipping on a warm drink while you play with your favorite husky from the pack.
